Ex Rental, Simmonsohn 'Malmo' Tandem

We have had four of these tandems and have found them to be very reliable and well set up with good quality components.  They are hired out less frequently than our standard bicycles and have been well looked after. 

'The Malmo is perfect for the couple who want to explore tandem paths, tracks, roads and lanes. Running on 700c wheels the Malmo can cover more miles than a mountain bike equivalent but can still handle some extra weight and light trails.

The Malmo features Simmonsohn’s triple triangle aluminium adventure series frame. The frame design results in a low step over height for the stoker position. Up front is a responsive, lightweight Cromoly fork. The 21 speed transmission system comprises of Shimano EZ fire gear shifters with super precise Shimano derailleurs.

The large range of gear ratios will help you cope with everything the terrain throws at you. Front and rear Tektro alloy V brakes coupled with Simmonsohn double wall rims and Schwalbe Land Cruiser Plus tyres give excellent control on the road or tracks.

Wheel Specification: Simmonsohn black alloy double wall 48H CNC rims with front and rear KT quick release alloy hubs. Stainless steel black spokes with 13G brass nipples.

Tyres and Tubes: Front and rear 700 X 38c Schwalbe Marathon with Green Guard Puncture Protection. 700 X 28 Presta valve tubes.

Brakes: Front and rear Tektro alloy V type brakes with Shimano ASTEF51 levers. Levers have reach adjust facility.
